Quick answers
What is outbid.lol?
outbid.lol is a public leaderboard where you pay to rank your product website or X @handle. The more you pay, the higher you rank. There are no ads, no API keys and no revenue share — rank is what you pay, nothing else.
How much does it cost?
New listings start at $5, go up to $999,999, and increase in $1 steps. Taking the #1 spot costs at least $5 more than the current #1. Payments go through Dodo Payments in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout.
What is the pay-the-difference rule?
If you already own a listing and raise your rank, checkout only charges the difference between your new amount and your current rank. Someone else cannot take your rank by paying that difference — the discount is yours alone.
Why do prices keep going up?
Because defending a rank is cheap (you pay only the difference) while attacking is expensive (you pay the full amount), and the money you've already paid is gone either way. That ratchet is the sunk-cost loop.
Can I get a refund?
No. All payments are final and non-refundable. Being outranked, a drop on Today's board after 24 hours, or fewer clicks than you hoped does not create a refund.
Is outbid.lol legit?
Yes — it's a real, revenue-generating service run by an indie developer in Germany, with 1.45M+ visitors and $243K+ revenue in its first twelve days. It's also explicitly a paid-advertisement board: appearance is not an endorsement, and results vary.
